Today was a Ski club day, so I went skiing. I have a pretty good group, their is one person in my group who is as good as me, one who is better (not counting the instructor), two who are really good, but are scared from previous events, and four who should be in a lower group. I really like my instructor Dave, he is helpful to the kids who need help, and based what trails we off of what people were their. Today we had the good group, so we did black diamonds, and advanced blues.
Our first run was Essex, a black diamond that lead to a blue. It was my third black diamond, not counting jump trails. It was fun, I do not under stand why they called the bottom part of Essex a black, it is really
easy. After that trail we took a drop-off onto another trail and skied down to the chair that took us up to the summit.
At the top we looked out over the beautiful mountain range. Our instructor chose to go down Upper Skyward, the second hardest trail on the mountain. The top was Icy so we either had to do another trail, or go fast, we went fast. Upper Skyward Is steep, Lower Skyward is not, Upper Skyward is 210 feat long and
is all very steep. So we did it. It was terrifying, but I am glad I did it.
